Here is Example 13 the last of the Ars Subtilior examples, a lovely imitative piece by Grimace, Virelai ‘Alarme, alarme, sans sejour’ and as you can hear, Grimace has put the call of allarm into three of the parts. These 15 videos are the examples at the back of a book by Nigel Wilkins, called One Hundred Ballades, Rondeaux and Virelais recently read by me.
